Dryad Class Torpedo Gunboat - 1:350
The Dryad Class torpedo gunboats were the last class of torpedo gunboats (TGBs) built for the Royal Navy. These were rather odd-looking ships, with their two funnels very apart, and unlike their predecessors, they had raised poop as well as raised forecastle. They were only slightly larger and better armed versions of Alarms, sharing their predecessors’ weaknesses. They were built at the same time as first destroyers and got immediately put into shade by these smaller but faster vessels.

| Autumn Update |
|
 |
Time is flying way way too fast. I can still remember preparations and trip planning for Telford 2010 and now I am facing déjà vu with 2011. It is in only few weeks away! So summer has passed into the past and we are on clear course toward winter modelling days. Shorter, colder and darker days are better however for us modellers. There are fewer distractions from outside world; we can concentrate on proper modelling activities!
JBModel.eu are coming up with new model and they will be shown in Sweden next month during C4-Open model even in Malmoe. We have prepared 1/350 scale set of The Dryad-Class Torpedo Gunboat Halcyon - last class of torpedo gunboat built for the Royal Navy. The set is massive and consists of my etchings (with relief etched railings for instance), barrels turned by Master and usual stuff. We are working on further models as well and hope to surprise you in Telford in November.
Having that said we smoothly touched nearest events. So to recap, in 4 weeks JBModel.eu are participating in C4-Open in Malmoe, Sweden - 29-30 October. Then 2 weeks later we are in Telford, UK during Scale Model World i.e. 12-13 November.
Current shop things: JBModel.eu offer 30-35% discount for selected items. Offer is valid for products in stock. Better check them out! RB, Master, Friul have been restocked. I have just updated the shop. There are few new items from Friul. Master mentioned also some new barrels and I should have them with me in Sweden. My wooden blocks have been reproduced in most common sizes. Hold-and-Fold tools are at Customs and expect them this week. |
